It is well known that when conflict goes unresolved it gets worse. That might not mean it gets more apparent however. In fact just the opposite is often the case.
Since having and keeping their job is critical in the minds of everyone, conflict is often hidden so when someone feels wronged or slighted they can "get back" at their tormentor without fear of being found out.
