An Example Of HR Saving The Day When It Comes To Succession Planning

Traditionally we think of lawyers, accountants, estate planners, and life insurance when we think about the folks who make up the succession planning team. Sometimes however the folks in HR can be the ones who save the day. Not because they are experts at the details or the legal issues involved in the process, rather because they understand the people. And the people part of the succession planning equation is critical. Because if people can't work together before, during, and after the completion of the succession planning process - the whole thing has just been a very costly waste of time.
