Strategic marketing is rarely defined and not often attempted. That's because you first must focus on who exactly you want to get your message in front of and how you are going to do it. Then you have to execute your strategic marketing plan in a way that returns more in new business than it costs to do the promotion. Not easy, so losers do what is easy and get more and more of what they already have. Why bother?
